Although divorce is an emotional and trying event to navigate, I see it also as an opportunity for a fresh start. I see my role, as a matrimonial lawyer, as a facilitator who works with each client to find an equitable solution that allows her or him to move on and begin a new life. My goal is to move the process forward as quickly as possible without compromising a client’s right to what they are entitled to and want.
I seek to avoid the two extremes of litigation and stalemate that often undermine the divorce process. By moving the negotiating process steadily forward we are normally able to settle everything from the ownership of grandma’s silver to visitation rights. This approach brings closure faster and enables my clients to move forward sooner rather than later.
My practice includes the usual components of matrimonial law including divorce, child custody and support, property distribution and spousal support – as well as pre-nups, post-nups and cohabitation agreements.
